Teresa Scanlan Crowned Miss America

BREAKING NEWS...Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan has been crowned Miss America 2011  in Las Vegas's Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort.
The 17 year old from Nebraska becomes the youngest Miss America winner in the 90 years of the pageant.  Teresa Scanlan won a $50,000 scholarship and a year long rein with the crown of Miss America.  She beat out 52 other contestants at the pageant that consisted of a evening gown competition, swim wear competition, a talent competition and a question and answer round.  She performed on the piano during her talent competition. 
Teresa beat out first runner-up Miss Arkansas Alyse Aedy, who won $25,000, and third runner-up Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier, who won $20,000.
Miss Nebraska succeeds Caressa Cameron of Virginia as Miss America.
