Lawrence Taylor Arrested for Rape

Former New York Giants linebacker and Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested early Thursday morning for an alleged rape of a 16 year old girl.  The incident occurred in a hotel room that Taylor occupied in Rockland County, NY.
Authorities said that the alleged victim was brought to Taylor's room by a pimp, who also faces charges, who was paid $300 for the time with the girl.  Shortly after the encounter, Taylor was taken into custody by police without incident and was charged with third-degree rape and soliciting prostitution. 
LT's lawyer said the Taylor denied having sex with the 16 year old girl who was reported missing in March by her family.
If convicted Taylor could spend a maximum one year in prison for solicitation, a misdemeanor, and a maximum for the third degree rape charge, a felony, is four years on prison.  Taylor is was released from custody when he posted $75,000 bail.
