After an explosion on the oil rig Deepwater Horizon, in the Gulf of Mexico, 11 are missing and 7 are injured. The explosion occurred around 10 pm Tuesday night and, according to Coast Guard officials, is still burning Wednesday morning.
Deepwater Horizon is located 52 miles off the coast of Venice, LA. There were 126 people on the platform of the rig at the tome of the explosion and 115 of the have been accounted for as of Wednesday morning. The Coast Guard has not reported any deaths at this time.
