BP To Use Top Kill?

How to stop a massive oil spill?
That is the question BP is asking itself. A decision could come today if BP will use the "top kill" procedure to stop the Gulf Coast oil spill. Top BP officials have stated a decision will be made once testing has been completed. One official said " so far, its been Ok, but we don't have all the data we need."
The top kill procedure has been successful in the Middle East, but has never been used on the ocean floor. BP has given the procedure a 60% to 70% success rate.
If chosen, the top kill procedure would consist of pumping 50,000 pounds of a thick, vicious substance into the well to halt the oil flow. If the flow stops, the well would then be capped with cement.
