Roy Oswalt Traded to the Phillies

Breaking News from MLB...
The Houston Astros have traded Roy Oswalt to the Philadelphia Phillies.   The Phillies sent J.A. Happ and low level minor leagues Jonathan Villar (SS) and Anthony Gose (OF) in exchange for the 32 year old right hander.  The Astros also agreed to pay 11 millions dollars of Oswalt's remaining 23 million dollar salary.  The trade was contingent on Oswalt  agreeing on the trade since he had a no-trade clause.

In 20 starts this season Oswalt has an ERA of 3.42, averaging 8.4 strikeouts and 2.4 walks per 9 innings.

With the addition of Oswalt  to the starting rotation, that consists of Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, Joe Blanton and Kyle Kendrick, the Phillies have one of the best rotations in baseball.
