BREAKING NEWS...MTV host and BMX biker TJ Lavin is in a medically induced coma after he crashed his bike during an event Thursday night.
Lavin, 33, was competing in the Dew Tour Championship in Las Vegas when he lost control of his bike and when failed to complete one of his stunts. He was unable to reach his bike's pedals, throwing him through the air and knocking him unconscious. As rescuers rushed to his aid he laid motionless and unresponsive.
He was rushed to University Medical Center where doctors decided to medically induce him into a coma to help reduce the swelling of his brain. Lavin's other injuries include broken ribs and a shattered wrist.
