Breaking News... Abbott, the maker of Similac baby formula, is initiating a voluntary recall of certain Similac powder based formulas. The recall has been issued in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and some Caribbean countries.
Theses products are being recalled due to the remote possibility of the presence of small beetles in the powder that was produced in a single manufacturing facility. The recall is affecting 5 million cans of the powdered formula.
Abbott says the beetles will not hurt the child, but may cause gastric distress.
